Thanks to Japanese traditional woodworking joints, known as “Sashimono”, products such as a furniture are made without any nails. Sashimono joints are renowned for their functionality and unique design. Established in 1895, Tominaga Joiners boasts a wide array of expertise and techniques. Our Sashimono works are often inspired by nature. For this project, we strived not only to combine various materials such as wood, metal and mirrors, but also to express both softness and firmness. Our mirror hall is a demonstration of Japanese traditional crafts known as “Mage Kumiko” and “Shiho-Korobi”.
